Istanbul
Free WiFi and a bar of fairtrade chocolate with the queen of capitalism is very comfortable right now. I have almost two hours to wait here in the Atatürk airport – which is perfectly fine as I consider airports a perfect place to kill time and look at people. A chinese man in front of me seems to be watching a splatter movie on his Samsung Galaxy S3, there’s quite a lot of female screaming and blood in it.. a lady next to me is reading a magazine while her three young boys are playing on their iPads, each on their own.. I’ve never seen these many iPads before, they are all over the place. Old gentleman in front of me seems to be Spanish and has an iPhone 5. He is speaking to the Chinese guy, who seems too busy with his movie to answer.
Luckily it’s warm – so I’m quite comfortable here in gadgetland.
Almost there, Malmö.
Little Africa
Obrigada.
Thank you for everything Maputo, you have been wonderful to me.
I feel like I’m breaking up with a perfect partner. Why am I chosing to leave a city that dances with me until sunset, makes me laugh, invites me for wonderful dinner, plays great live music for me, shows me things I have never seen before, and makes me feel beautiful, loved and appreciated?
My iPod has an Etevaldo playlist on it. It throws me straight into an ocean of nostalgia, tears and happiness. My mind indulges while my body dances. Me descontrola, me descomanda.
Obrigada, Maputo. Estaremos sempre juntos. A luta continua.

And all my good-bye hugs and phonecalls today ended the same:
“I’m convinced that you’ll be back. See you then.”

Among ropes and people
Sean Paul kept on playing, forcing us to dance until 5am – two hours later we got on this boat. The sun is on. I’m happy and tired, trying to sleep a little among all the ropes and people. Finally going to wonderful Inhaca island again. This boatride is such a nice trip, less than half an hour left. Waiting for the dolphins to escort us the last part.
