I absolutely adore this movie, I saw it again yesterday..

the filming and all the symbolic and very simple yet subtle details just feel so much ahead of their time, it’s so beautiful to watch.

Listening to Sade makes me think of red wine and dimmed lights, the blend of the smoothness of her voice and the instruments puts me in a state somewhere between tranquility and bliss.

And as if her voice wasn’t wonderful enough, her old videos are perfect. What a charisma! It’s the 80’s at their best.

I really liked this video when it came out, I still do, it’s a classic. The tune is nice as well and I’m still sometimes singing the line randomly.. somebody saying “hey girl” is usually enough to get me started.

Funny thing how some things just really gets stuck in your head..
Kind of like when somebody says “oh, snap!” seriously.. who doesn’t feel the urge to go “I’ve got the power!!” ?
