I saw Mikael Melbye’s production of Puccini’s enchanting La Bohème at the Copenhagen Opera the other day. Obviously, I couldn’t take any pictures during the play, but the surroundings were beautiful enough to share. Click the pictures for lightbox.
And then there’s always YouTube – this clip is from the second act of Franco Zeffirelli’s production of La Bohème.
Wait for Musetta’s waltz at 2:10.
This song wasn’t featured on YouTube so I uploaded it and I am guessing that my friends who collaborate with Albin won’t mind. It’s my favourite from his first EP, Hemmagjord. He was just 16 at the time, and released another EP entitled “Därefter” two years later. Now he’s 20 and has just released two singles from his new album Jag Kände Mig Så Låg. They are being played and appreciated all over, however people don’t know that this Malmö kid already had great skills some years ago. He actually wrote the lyrics, played, sang and recorded Hemmagjord in his own room. I remember how happy I was about it when I found it some time in 2007 while still living in Warsaw. So sweet. The new album is also cute and it’s currently playing in my iPod. I’m enjoying – It’s Malmö, it’s our chilled out dialect, it’s all about love, and it’s incredibly simple and sincere. I like!
Here’s the acoustic version of a new single that was released in November this year, and a sweet video to go with it:
Albin Gromer – Så många gånger nu (Aukustisk version)
Jag Kände Mig Så Låg
(planned release in February 2011)
Two small torches and a power cut in town.. :) Anjuna beach, Goa, India 2010
My days are passing and they are packed with music, photos, work and snow. I am enjoying.
Bebe – Tu silencio
Pafuera Telarañas (2004)
Ahora no estás aquí,
ahora no estoy aquí,
Other than that I’ve just been completely obsessed with the Stevie Nicks video that I posted yesterday, I just can’t get tired of her voice and that perfectly banal song. It’s been on repeat since I came back home from work. haha.. Right now I’m uploading my photos to the ftp of the printinghouse, it’s been difficult to choose which photos to display and which not to, when you love the moment of taking a picture you develop a special relation to a lot of your shots, having to reject them then suddenly feels very personal, like actually killing your darlings..
Beautiful video of Stevie Nicks singing backstage while getting her make-up done. The year is 1981 and the song is an early raw version of the song “Wild Heart“, released in 1983. That’s such an amazing voice!
