Birthday 2011
My 25th birthday easily qualified into the list of nice ones. The day was sunny, I was invited to wonderful dinner that had me food-coma paralysed for an hour and I spent time with people I like. In the evening I threw a party at my place and mixed 27 new Barcelona friends with very different backgrounds in my small livingroom – they proved to get along really well and everybody seemed to have a good time. We continued to a club, danced all night and shared food, talks and laughs at sunrise. I got to bed when the sun already had been up for a couple of hours so summing it up it was a good 25th, even if some friends from Sweden obviously were missed.
Thank you all my new friends!
Like many of my days, this one has its own theme song. It’s an The XX remix of a Florence and the Machine song called You’ve Got the Love and I have been playing it on repeat today. As always – I’m sharing my goodies. Enjoy!

Salar de Uyuni
One time I bought myself a Charango in Bolivia. Then I took a 12 hour bus from La Paz to the Salt deserts of Uyuni and learnt how to play “el condor pasa” in the sun.
There are some moments one can just live, re-live and appreciate, endlessly. I am trying to collect as many of these as possible and it’s a never ending project that I love living.
Goodnight!
No + Llora
Just came back home from a very nice dinner with friends, a song by Bebe got shuffled up by my iPod and was my company during the short walk home so I thought I’d share it here, it’s sweet. It also reminded me that I missed her concert in Palau de la Música last week, it is just next door from my place and I really like her songs and lyrics so it is a bit sad.. but well, it happens. I should bring my SLR Canon along more as well, this city is so overwhelming that I have been choosing to leave the camera at home to be able to actually get somewhere instead of stopping every five seconds to take pictures. Starting tomorrow she’s hanging along again, but now – goodnight!

In Spanish the social movement calls itself “okupa“, from the word “ocupación“.
Changes & Avatars
Imagine finding your own Avatar in Barcelona.
I am very happy about the progress I am experiencing at the moment and I am in love with this city, the language and my new room. But as always, things are changing rapidly for me and this highly appreciated state that I find myself in right now might quite soon be exchanged for a different, hopefully better and more stimulating, reality. Let’s see where all these perfect little coincidences and my never ending searching takes me. Let’s hope it’s a warm place. :)
